With its strategic location at the southernmost point of the French Mediterranean coast, sheltered from the winds in the heart of the Spain-Italy-North Africa triangle, the Toulon Côte d’Azur Passenger Terminal offers quick sea access to the southernmost destinations and easy access to the motorway (1 km), rail (1 km) and airport (20 km) networks. In addition to ensuring operational reliability 24/7, 365 days a year, this secure terminal has the capacity to handle more than 8 stopovers per day. Committed to an environmentally friendly approach, the Directorate of Ports, with the support of the Metropolitan Authority, is setting up the OPS project at the terminal, which will allow ship engines to be shut down during stopovers. Thanks to an innovative energy mix combining the electricity and photovoltaic grid, the aim of these installations is to cut quay emissions by 80%.
