The Directorate of Ports of the Var CCI carries out commercial development and operational activities at its 4 terminals located around the Harbours of Toulon: Brégaillon North Terminal, Brégaillon South Terminal, Toulon City Centre Passenger Terminal and La Seyne-sur-Mer Cruise Terminal. It is also responsible for managing and leading its port industrial zone devoted to the development of the maritime activities of the operators of the Harbours of Toulon and the area.

Driven by the principle of agility, security and sustainability, the terminals enjoy a favourable strategic positioning and accessibility. The port of Toulon is a high-quality entry point to the Mediterranean welcoming traffic from France, Europe and the rest of the world.

Toulon : why do scientists board on Corsica Ferries ?

Scientists from the EcoOcean Institut regularly board a Corsica Ferries ship from Toulon to collect data on cetaceans. This initiative is part of a European programme. Since 2007, a team of three or four scientists has been travelling on these ferries once a week during the summer to collect data on cetacean populations, including their numbers and geographical distribution. Equipped with binoculars, they observe the marine animals from the command deck.

Bilan 1er Semestre 2023

« Les bons résultats et les perspectives encourageantes du Port de Commerce de la Rade de Toulon de ce premier semestre reflètent le travail collectif des acteurs de la place portuaire et de l’autorité portuaire (TPM). Cette année le report modal ferroviaire et la connexion à quai sont des axes prioritaires pour accompagner la transition énergétique et la décarbonation des activités. La dynamique engagée de diversification s’inscrit dans une volonté affichée de développement raisonné avec l’ambition de faire de la Rade de Toulon ‘’la rade la plus propre de Méditerranée’’ ».
